Time Travelers! Time Travelers! Time Travelers!

UPDATE: It is with the greatest sadness that WRBC has to inform everyone that Cults have cancelled and are instead playing Jimmy Fallon the night they were scheduled to play at Bates. But never fear! We will still have a show and it will still be awesome, only the Time Travelers get to play for even longer. We may also add a replacement band, so keep on checking right here (or on Facebook). Also, as of now, the concert no longer costs money.
We apologize for breaking so many hearts, we’ll make it up to you at the show.
…
As promised, WRBC continues to bring you the latest, greatest, and paidest in the music biz.
On Friday, January 20th, WRBC is happy to bring you Cults, straight out of NYC. They just released their debut, self-titled album, and are about to embark on a tour of Australia. What exactly does that mean? It means they’ll be sharp as ever for their show here, something anyone would be foolish to miss.
Cults will also be joined by two openers, Delicate Steve and Time Travelers. Delicate Steve appeared at Bates in the fall of 2010, opening for the always incredible Dr. Dog. The other opener is a band much beloved by Bates, the recently alumnified Time Travelers! They are returning from their adopted home in Brooklyn to come play their very first show at Bates since graduating.
Now that you’re all hot and bothered about the show, we’ll get to the gritty details (they aren’t very gritty). The concert is (again) on January 20th in the Benjamin Mays Center. Tickets will be on sale starting Monday, January 16th at lunch in New Commons, and sales will continue until Wednesday. The tickets will be $3 each, and only one ticket will be sold per ID. Do not despair though, if you give a friend your ID they can purchase additional tickets, although the one ticket per ID rule still applies. Door times will be announced in the near future, just keep checking here and also the Facebook event.
Let the good times roll!
